Personal Interview

Camp Northwest was established in 1979. God has used Camp Northwest to reach many young people with the gospel over the years. Many campers were saved at camp and are now serving as pastors, pastor’s wives, missionaries, and faithful laymen and women.

Camp Northwest uses the facilities of Mayfield Lake Youth Camp located in Mossyrock, Washington. The camp offices are based out of Westside Baptist Church in Eugene, Oregon.

The Camp Northwest counseling staff is comprised of approximately 30 select Christian men and women for each week of camp. The Camp Northwest kitchen staff is comprised of approximately 15 select Christian men and women for each week of camp. Camp Northwest is committed to serving around 200 campers each week.

In accordance with the advice of the Christian Law Association, we have added this interview questionnaire to give some added protection for campers and screening for volunteers to serve at Camp Northwest. We do not want to demean or show disrespect to anyone by asking these questions, but we ask that you help us better protect ourselves by conducting this interview with the counselors and staff coming from your church.


These following questions are to be asked by a church leader (pastor, pastor's wife, deacon, or secretary) of the church in a personal interview with each counselor or staff member who is planning to serve at Camp Northwest for summer camp. We recommend men interview men and women interview women.
 
We will keep this confidential in our files. Do not sign below until you have completed the interview and feel confident that the person is not a risk to children or teens, as a camp counselor, kitchen worker, or other staff worker.
